**The perfect lake for sport carp fishing**
# **Măgura 9**
Măgura 9 is a reservoir of about 13 hectares in Valea Zboiului, in Căscioarele commune, Călărași county, 43 km from Bucharest, on the road to Oltenița. From DN 41 (Oltenița - Giurgiu), the "Acces Magura9" sign leads to a gravel road, good even in the rain, up to the reception. The lake has an L shape about 1.3 km long: one arm from north to south and another that turns west, with depths between 1.5 and 4.5 m and a generally hard bottom, with silt areas near the reeds on the banks. The dominant species is carp, common and mirror, along with grass carp and catfish. The lake was stocked every spring, between 2011 and 2015, with carp from 3 to 5 kg and with batches of specimens over 10 kg, and the largest catches published by the administration exceed 18 kg. Fishing is done from a single bank, the outer one of the L (the east bank of the long arm, then the south bank of the west one), from 36 wooden pontoons of 20 sqm, about 30 m from each other, each with its own wooden cabin, with a door and power outlet. The car reaches the pontoon for unloading equipment, then remains in the guarded parking lot near the reception.
