# **Experience Host Standards**

The standards every host of a fishing experience on LakeBooking agrees to, covering honest listings, safety, licences and closed seasons, money, cancellations and conduct.

## Experience Host Standards

**Version:** 2026-09 · **Last Updated:** 30.09.2026

These standards apply to every person who hosts a Fishing Experience on lakebooking.com (a dated, person-led fishing event sold by the place, such as masterclasses, courses, fish-with-the-host days, guided trips, exclusive access, workshops and group events). They complete the [**Host Agreement**](https://lakebooking.com/legal/host-agreement), which continues to govern the relationship between the host and LakeBooking S.R.L. Where the two differ for an experience, these standards prevail.

By ticking the attestation in the hosting application, the host confirms having read this version of the standards and agrees to run every experience by them. The version number is recorded with the application. When the standards change, hosts are asked to accept the new version before publishing again.

### 1. The host is a person, and the listing tells the truth

- An experience is led by the person whose name and photo are on the host page. A host does not sell a day that someone else runs without saying so in the listing.
- The title, the description, the itinerary, what is included, what is not included and what to bring describe the day as it will actually happen. Photos show the water and the fishing the participants will get, not other venues.
- The price per person is the whole price. Anything a participant will be asked to pay on the day beyond the listed balance (bait, permits, boat hire, food) is named in the listing as not included.
- The location is described honestly at the level of detail the host chooses (exact, approximate or county only). The meeting point revealed to paid participants is the real one.

### 2. Licences, seasons and protected waters

- Where a fishing licence, a permit or a day ticket is required, the listing says so and the participant is told which one and how to get it before the day. The host never lets a participant fish without the licence the law requires.
- No experience runs during a closed season for the species targeted, on a water where fishing is prohibited, or in a protected area without the authorisation that area requires.
- The rules of the water (retention, methods, limits, quiet hours) apply to every participant. A linked lake's house rules are part of the experience.

### 3. Safety and the people who take part

- The host holds the permits, registrations and insurance that Romanian and European law require for the activity they sell for money, and can show them to LakeBooking on request.
- The host sets a minimum age that fits the day. Minors take part only with their parent or guardian present, unless the listing says otherwise and the law allows it.
- The host names the risks of the day (water, weather, night sessions, boats, wading) plainly in the listing, checks the weather, and cancels or moves the day when it cannot be run safely.
- The host treats every participant with respect, regardless of who they are, how well they fish, or what they caught.

### 4. Money

- Participants pay the platform booking fee online when they book and the remaining balance to the host on the day. The host never asks a participant to pay outside LakeBooking to avoid the fee, and never charges a participant more than the listed balance.
- The host issues participants whatever receipt or invoice their own legal status requires for the balance collected on the day.
- The host keeps their tax details on LakeBooking complete and accurate.

### 5. Dates, minimums and cancellations

- A date runs when the minimum number of paid places is reached by the deadline the host set. If it is not, the date is cancelled and every participant is refunded automatically, unless the host chooses to run it anyway with the participants who booked.
- The host may reschedule a date once, with the notice the platform requires, and every participant then gets a fresh chance to cancel for a full refund.
- The host may cancel a date up to its start. Every participant is refunded in full. Host cancellations are recorded on the host's record and repeated cancellations lead to review.
- The host honours the cancellation window shown on the listing, so a participant who cancels at least that long before the start is refunded the booking fee automatically, without the host's involvement.

### 6. Conduct

- The host does not use the participants' contact details for anything other than running the day, and does not add them to mailing lists or groups without their consent.
- The host does not ask participants for reviews in exchange for anything, and does not review their own experiences.
- The host does not post other people's content, contact details or private locations in a listing.

### 7. Enforcement

LakeBooking reviews every host by hand before they can publish and may suspend a host or an experience at any time when these standards are not met. A suspended host's experiences are hidden and open dates are cancelled with full refunds to participants. A suspended experience comes with a statement of reasons, in the host's account and their thread with our team, that says what we did, why and how to ask us to review it within six months. The host may also write to [**contact@lakebooking.com**](mailto:contact@lakebooking.com).
