Moara Vlasiei 2
The Moara Vlasiei 2 reservoir is located on the Cociovalistea valley, from which it is also fed, approximately 20 km north of Bucharest, in the Moara Vlasiei commune, Ilfov county. The total surface area of 28 ha is divided into the carp lake, of 17 ha, and the wild area, of 11 ha. The water depth varies between 2 and 4 meters, the bottom is generally muddy, without submerged trees, and the grassy banks have patches of reeds and cattails in places. The carp lake has not been netted since the year 2000. The lake record for common carp is 32.250 kg, set on May 1, 2018, and the most frequent catches weigh between 7 and 13 kg. Along with carp, catfish live in the lake, with a record of 52 kg, and crucian carp, with a record of 3.200 kg. The wild area, bordered by forest and rich in reeds, is known for pike, catfish and zander, to which are added carp, crucian carp, tench, crucian carp and rudd; here one fishes from the bank or from a boat. Fishermen have at their disposal 17 pontoons and 35 numbered stands, night lighting on both banks, ecological toilets, parking at the entrance and a gravel road passable even in rainy weather. The lake is video monitored 24 hours a day and broadcasts live images on YouTube and Facebook, and the fishing spots and the green area are cleaned every evening. Fishing is done with at most 4 rods, and on the pontoons exclusively in catch and release mode.
