About fishing in Ilfov
Ilfov is the most convenient fishing county in Romania because it wraps around the capital: Snagov and Căldărușani to the north, Cernica and Brănești to the east, Mogoșoaia and Buftea to the west.
The north, towards Snagov, Gruiu and Moara Vlăsiei, holds the classic lakes, wooded to the waterline and fished for generations. The east, towards Cernica and Pantelimon, is just as close and quieter midweek. Most managed fisheries here work by the swim, with a platform, shade and parking beside the peg.
You can fish here almost year round, but April to October is the best of it. Summer weekends fill fast, so booking the swim ahead is the difference between a good day and a wasted drive.
