Floarea Popeștiului

Floarea Popeștiului is a fishing lake of about 4.9 hectares in Popești-Leordeni, Ilfov county, at the end of Heleșteului street, right at the edge of Bucharest. The water is green and quiet, surrounded by grassy banks with willows and ornamental trees. The lake is populated with common carp and mirror carp, alongside crucian carp. Grass carp, pike, zander and catfish also live in the water. The largest carp photographed by the administration on the scale exceed 15 kg. The fishing spots are marked and numbered, on the grassy bank, in the shade of the willows, and on wooden pontoons, and one stand has a gazebo. Cars remain in the arranged parking lot, barbecue is allowed on the bank, and swans swim on the lake.
