Lacul Periș

Lacul Periș is a fishing complex in the commune of Periș, Ilfov county, 25 km from Bucharest, near Periș Station. Fishing is done on Balta Mare, a lake of about 17 hectares, on Balta Mică and on three smaller ponds, separated by tree-planted dikes, with willows and forest on the banks. From DN1, at Tâncăbești, follow the sign to Periș, and before the railway a paved road goes down directly to the lake. Balta Mare is stocked with Romanian carp from 1 to 20 kg, crucian carp, cteno and small fish (roach, perch, bleak); in the waters of the complex also live bream, roach, catfish, pike and zander. In the 2026 season the lake was stocked weekly with Romanian carp, and in August ponds 2 and 3 received 1,000 kg of crucian carp. The complex also has its own farm, with fish raised in a natural three-year cycle, without artificial feed. The stands are numbered, and each is fished by a single angler, with at most four carp rods and one rod. On Balta Mare one can plant with the navomodel, camping with a tent or with a caravan is allowed, and near the water there are small huts for those who stay overnight. Visitors' cars stay in the administration parking lot. The sport fishing season runs from March until October.
