Lacul Hanul Pescarilor

Lacul Hanul Pescarilor is a fishing lake of approximately 6 hectares of water surface at the edge of Oradea, in the village of Săldăbagiu de Munte in the commune of Paleu, Bihor county, 1.5 km from the city. The water is over 50 years old and is surrounded by trees: a narrow neck towards the road, a long arm towards the east and a wide basin in the middle, with 80 to 240 meters of water in front of the swims. The lake has yielded over time special catches of carp, grass carp, zander, pike and catfish, and stationary fishing is kept alive by crucian carp, bream, rudd and roach. Zander and pike are fished only for predators, with artificial lures, and are released. On the bank there are 31 numbered swims: 17 on the north bank, in front of the complex, and 14 on the south bank, under the trees, with the orchard in the back. Some swims have a gazebo, power outlet, furniture or barbecue. Fishing is done during the day, the lake is video monitored and has a designated parking area. Right on the shore of the lake, the Hanul Pescarilor complex has a restaurant with traditional and fish dishes, swimming pools, accommodation rooms and a horse riding school.
