Welcome to lakebooking.com! These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our platform. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

1. General Provisions and Definitions

• The Platform: The website lakebooking.com, associated mobile applications, and all related services.
• The Operator: The company LakeBooking S.R.L., with its registered office at Strada Dr. Leonte Anastasievici, Nr. 9, Camera 2, Etaj 1, Ap. 2, Sector 5, Bucharest, postal code 050464, Romania, Sole Registration Code (CUI) 55420249, registered with the Trade Register under no. J2026049620005, email: contact@lakebooking.com.
• Fisherman (User): Any individual or legal entity who creates an account and completes a reservation through the Platform.
• Owner (Host): The legal administrator, manager, or owner of a fishing lake or swim listed on the Platform.
• Service Fee: The platform service fee (currently 10% of the total booking value, subject to modification upon prior notice) collected online by the Platform for facilitating the reservation and providing our technology infrastructure.
• Verification Status: The "Verified Host" badge indicates solely that basic documentation has been reviewed by the Operator. Verification does not constitute an endorsement, certification, guarantee of quality, guarantee of safety, guarantee of legality, or recommendation by the Operator.

2. Legal Role of the Platform (Limitation of Liability)

• Technological Intermediary: LakeBooking S.R.L. acts exclusively as a technological intermediary (marketplace) connecting Fishermen with Lake Owners.
• Nature of the Fishing Contract: The contract for the actual fishing service is concluded directly between the Fisherman and the Lake Owner. The Operator does not own, manage, or operate the fishing lakes listed on the Platform. The Operator assumes no liability for the quality of services at the venue.
• Niche-Specific Liability Disclaimers: The Operator does not guarantee:
  • Fish stock levels or fish species availability.
  • Catch success or angling outcomes.
  • Weather conditions or water conditions.
  • Accessibility, lake quality, or general safety of the venue.

3. Financial Flow, Payments, and Invoicing

• Price Structure: The total price of a fishing session is transparently displayed before finalizing the reservation and consists of two parts:
  1. Service Fee (Online): An amount representing currently 10% of the total (subject to modification by the Operator upon prior notice to Hosts), collected online via our secure third-party payment provider (Stripe).
  2. Remaining Balance (On-site): The remaining balance (currently 90%) which must be paid directly by the Fisherman to the Lake Owner at the venue's reception (via cash or card, according to the lake's individual policy).
• Invoicing:
  • LakeBooking S.R.L. issues a fiscal invoice exclusively for the Service Fee collected online. This invoice will be reported to the national RO e-Factura system in compliance with Romanian law.
  • The Lake Owner holds the exclusive legal obligation to issue a receipt or invoice for the Remaining Balance collected directly from the Fisherman on-site.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

• Service Fee: Because the Platform provides an instant digital service (facilitating real-time reservations and blocking the selected swim), the Service Fee collected by LakeBooking S.R.L. is non-refundable, unless the Lake Owner cancels the session or the swim becomes unavailable due to their exclusive fault.
• Cancellations made by the Fisherman within less than 48 hours before the session starts may result in the forfeiture of the reservation (see the Refund Policy for the exact rules). Any rules regarding additional cash deposits depend entirely on the internal regulations of each specific lake.

5. Obligations of the Parties

• Fishermen agree to provide accurate and complete information during checkout (First Name, Last Name, Full Address), which is legally required for invoicing, and to respect the internal rules of the lake they have booked.
• Owners assume full responsibility for declaring their income to ANAF for all amounts collected on-site and for holding all necessary legal permits to operate the fishing venue.

6. Disputes and Governing Law

• Any disputes arising between Fishermen and Owners must be resolved directly between them. LakeBooking S.R.L. is not a party to these disputes.
• Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator shall not be liable for lost profits, business interruption, property damage, personal injury, fish mortality, environmental incidents, customer disputes, or any actions or omissions of Hosts or anglers.
• This agreement is governed by Romanian law. Any disputes that cannot be settled amicably will be submitted to the competent courts of law in Romania.
