Balta Solacolu

Balta Solacolu is a fishery in the village of Solacolu, Sărulești commune, Călărași county, about 46 km east of Bucharest, with access from DN3 and A2. The water is long and narrow, with an arm that goes north, and measures approximately 5.6 hectares of water surface; depths vary between 1 and 4.5 meters, with an average of about 2.5 meters. The lake has been operating since 2007 and is stocked with carp, including specimens exceeding 15 kg, and grass carp over 12 kg. Alongside them live crucian carp and, occasionally, zander, pike and sturgeon, which are released unconditionally. The 35 fishing spots are arranged in a single row, on the south bank and on the north arm, with the gravel road right behind, so the car stays next to the peg. The entire surface of the lake is illuminated by poles equipped with sockets, which makes night fishing comfortable. Twelve of the spots have a small house or a room in the main building behind them, and on the domain there is a restaurant, two outdoor pools and a playground for children.
