La Motor Pavelescu
La Motor Pavelescu lake is a 15-hectare valley lake on the Argova river, near the village of Valea Argovei in Călărași county, about 70 km from Bucharest and 7 km from the Sun Motorway. The lake is almost 1.5 km long, up to 150 m wide and has depths between 3 and 6 m; it is part of the Pavelescu Lakes, alongside the Protocol Lake, located right below its dam. It is a keep-net lake, stocked weekly in season with carp; crucian carp, grass carp, bighead carp and silver carp are also caught. Carp over 5 kg must be released. Fishing is done from a single bank, the one with the gravel road and the row of willows, from numbered swims, with benches and tables. The lake has night lighting, toilets and trash cans, and the access road is good. The schedule is non-stop.
