Lacul Boteni 1

Lacul Boteni 1 is a fishery of about 7.6 hectares in the village of Boteni, Sinești commune, Ialomița county, with direct access from the communal road DC 19. The lake has two arms: one about 650 m long, from the north, and one to the east, up to the dam over which the road to the village passes. The banks are low and grassy, with patches of reeds, between open fields. In the lake live carp, grass carp, crucian carp, bighead carp and silver carp, bream and common rudd, and among the predators zander, pike, perch, black bass and catfish. The records published by the administration are a 21 kg grass carp and an 11 kg carp, and the lake is periodically restocked with carp and crucian carp. Fishing is done from 72 marked and buoyed swims along the banks, all year round, and in winter also ice fishing. The car is left on the bank, close to the swim, and barbecue and camping with a tent or caravan are allowed for anglers. The lake has administration and security.
