Balta Cămineasca

Balta Cămineasca is a reservoir on the Câlniștea river, in Giurgiu county, about 50 km from Bucharest: 76 hectares of water spread over 7 km, from Cămineasca to the village of Naipu. The area set up for fishing has about 30 hectares and stretches from the mouth of the Bila 2 pond to the Cămineasca dam; a mesh fence separates it from the portion towards Naipu, which is a natural protection zone. Separately, in the village of Naipu, the bank near the bridge is fished only during the day. In the lake live common and mirror carp, grass carp, crucian carp, bream, roach, rudd, bleak, brown bullhead, silver carp and bighead carp. The lake is stocked several times a year, especially with carp and crucian carp, so that the fish density remains high. The swims, marked and numbered, are placed alternately on the two banks, never face to face. Sectors D, E and F stretch on the bank towards the field, with a dirt road right behind the swims, so the car is parked next to the fishing spot; on these sectors one fishes only when the state of the road allows it. Sectors B and C are in the area by the forest, in the shade, with a road passable in any weather. On the bank there are trash cans and toilets, one can camp with a tent or a motorhome where the bank allows, and security is non-stop. The administration's Bila guesthouse, in the village of Naipu, delivers ordered food directly to the swim.
