Boldești Grădiștea

Boldești-Grădiștea Lake is Pond 1, "Colacu", of the fish farm in Boldești-Grădiștea commune, in the south-east of Prahova county, approximately 20 km from Mizil. It has around 120 hectares of open water and stretches over 2 km, between dikes and a wide area of reeds to the north-west. Fishing species are carp, grass carp (which the administration calls ten or cteno) and crucian carp, and the administration's photo gallery shows large specimens of carp and grass carp. Catfish, zander, silver carp and bighead carp also live in the water, which the administration protects. The administration carries out stockings during the season. Fishing is done from the bank, from two rows of pegs: A1 to A13 on the entrance dike, wide and open, with the car parked behind the peg, and B1 to B24 on the south-east dike, under a row of willow trees, with the field road behind. On both dikes there is room for a bivvy by the water.
