Lacul lui Jack

Lacul lui Jack is a private fishing lake of about 3.3 hectares in Sântioana, Țaga commune, Cluj county, right next to the county road DJ109C. In its middle is a wooded island, connected to the east bank by a wooden bridge, and all around the water are 23 numbered pegs, between wooded hills. In the lake live common carp and mirror carp, grass carp, crucian carp, catfish, pike, zander, silver carp and bighead carp. In 2026, a common carp of 21.6 kg and a mirror carp of 21.4 kg were caught here, and the grass carp exceeds 12 kg. Catfish and crucian carp can be kept without limit, carp between 1 and 4 kg for a fee, and the rest of the catch is released. On the east bank stand ten A-frame cabins, each with its own peg, and on the west bank two VIP cabins. On the domain are toilets and showers for the accommodated guests, a gazebo with cold beer, a Japanese garden, playground for children, night lighting and drinking water at the tap, and bait-boats are allowed. It is possible to camp with a tent or with a caravan, with power connection. The 14-hectare domain also has a 3,000 m² lake for float fishing and two breeding lakes, with a sand beach.
