Pescăria Aurel Vlaicu

Pescăria Aurel Vlaicu is the fish farm of the village of Aurel Vlaicu, in the town of Geoagiu, Hunedoara county, on the border with Alba county, in the Mureș meadow, commissioned in 1983 as a farm for raising consumption fish. For fishing, Balta 50 is open, a basin of about 35 ha of open water, enclosed by dikes, with a reed island in the middle and with hills and mountains in the distance. In Balta 50 live common carp and mirror carp, with specimens over 10 kg, along with grass carp, crucian carp and catfish. The lake is well stocked and is fed daily. On the bank there are 25 wooden pontoons of 4 x 3 m: 15 on the north dike, under the road, 2 on the west dike and 8 on the south-west bank. Each pontoon has a 220 V socket, a 30 W LED lamp, two places of at most 4 x 4 m for tent and pavilion and bags for trash and for recyclable materials, and the sanitary facilities, with sink, WC and shower, are at most 150 m from any pontoon. The car enters up to the pontoon for unloading luggage, and at pontoons 1-6, 14 and 15 it can remain alongside. The whole enclosure is video monitored, and the farm has guard dogs. The farm also has Balta 2, the first basin to the left of the entrance, which is not booked here: the packages below are all on Balta 50.
